Today our students celebrated college day at Montalvin! We celebrated this day by learning about different local and nationwide available to our students. We did career inventories to find out how students can use their likes and turn them into careers and students went on virtual campus tours. To celebrate we also raffled off 3 college T-shirts every hour of the day and enjoyed a delicious barbecue for lunch! All in all, it was an awesome day! It was an incredible opportunity for about 60 students, staff, and community members and all made possible by the generosity of Full Belly Farms and Cliff Bars. We were able to learn about farm life and the amazing organic produce a local California farm has to offer! Our visit coincided with the annual Hoes Down Harvest Festival and we were able to enjoy amazing activities, like how to cook pizza, learning about farm animal life, and making pottery art. All in all we realized all the hard work that goes into producing great vegetables and fruits! Check out all the pictures of the fun we had!
